Original acrylics on canvas
30”× 36” x 2” depth
The predominant image in this painting is the Gary Oak, an endangered species. The Western Bluebird is nestled safely in the branches and sheltered beneath the canopy of the oak are some of the other species it supports, Taylor’s Checkerspot Butterfly, the White Fawn Lily and the Common Camas. This system is a microcosm of the butterfly effect programmed into every aspect of life and this world we live in. We are not independent but interdependent for survival and for purpose.
