This surreal painting captures a luminous moment suspended between earth and eternity. From a gently sloping grassy hill a multitude of vibrant purple butterflies flutter upward in a unified ascent, creating a spiraling current of motion that draws the eye toward the heavens. Beams of heavenly light pour down. The light does not merely illuminate, it transforms. As the butterflies rise past the horizon into the brilliance, their solid wings become translucent, allowing the streaming light to pass through them.
