About Cheri Denis

Cheri is an Canadian artist & poet, originally from Windsor Ontario, the eldest of 8 children of the Yablonsky family. Cheri met her husband Wayne at the University of Windsor, after their graduation in 1971 they were married & moved to Alberta. Wayne designed & built their log home in the rural Edmonton area minutes from Elk Island National Park. It become the Cheri Rose Gallery home/studio featuring her original paintings & poetry. Cheri's vividly detailed images of butterflies, flowers, wildlife & God's children, young & old, reflect the peace, beauty & tranquility of their lakeside country setting. For over 54 years Wayne has been the most dedicated supporter of her art, providing valuable feedback, inspiration, collaborating with her & spending countless hours setting up exhibits of her work, beside her throughout every season.
